Newspapers and Magazines
Printed newspapers and magazines are available for reading in the Reading Room.
Magazines may be borrowed for three weeks, with the exception of the latest issue, which is available for use in the library only.
Using the RIKSWEB Online Catalogue, select "Periodicals" from the left-hand menu, choose the desired magazine title, and then select Narva Central Library (if other libraries in the region are also listed). You will be able to see:
• how many years of the publication are available in our collection;
• whether the latest issue has already arrived.
Visitors can also read digital newspapers free of charge at the library.
EBSCO Databases
The library provides access to EBSCO databases on public computers.
The EBSCO platform offers access to a wide range of databases covering many subject areas. Depending on the publication, users can access full-text articles, abstracts, or bibliographic records.
The databases include both scholarly and popular journals. It is also possible to search specifically for peer-reviewed academic articles, making EBSCO a valuable resource for research and study.
